have a great effect upon a youngster's development, but the sheer enjoyment and excitement of it is worth seeing
for any parent. There are many styles of cars available, including Trucks, Jeeps and Racing cars.
How Much Power
So where do you start your search? An important consideration is where and how the vehicle will be used? Will it
be on a hard, firm surface, off road, or a mixture? Then you must look at the power you would like, or rather that
would be safest? Battery Ride on Cars come in three different stages; from a 6V up to a 12V and then the 24V, made
up with two 12V's electric batteries.
Naturally, the lowest one is the 6V, which will give a speed of about 1.5 to 2.5 miles per hour. Then going up a
notch to the 12V, you can have speeds of 2.5 and 5 miles per hour. Now the main contender is the 24V, on which a
speed from about 7 miles per hour, to a stimulating 15 miles per hour can be attained.
What Is On The Market
This is a highly competitive market, with varied and appealing designs available for every taste. It is
generally said, that a Preschool age, is the best age to start with kids battery cars, since the majority of these
vehicles, would seem to be made for this age group! Again, the majority of the marketed vehicles favor the two
speeds, forward running facility, at about 2.5 or 5 miles per hour. This is supported by a single reverse speed of
approximately 2.5 miles per hour. A 12 V battery is therefore required.
There is generally a "locking" device, which enables the parent of a young preschooler to set a speed
limitation. The most popular cars in this range would seem to be, those that have the most realistic
appearance!
Another popular vehicle that can be seen in many different environments is the battery operated toy ATV, or All
Terrain Vehicle. This variety may be classified, as a miniature version of the youth and adult size of ATV. The
child sized kids ride on toy ATV's are easy to maneuver, but provide an off road challenge, to give the ride, fun
and some excitement. The majority of these ride on toy ATV's, are designed for one rider. There are a few though,
